Team 2 (Greenhoe) 22 Team 1 (Dowdy) 20

 

It was a good game with Team 1 up 11-6 early on but 

by the end of the 8th it was all tied up 18-18.

Ralph Larue and Regis Finnegan went 6 for 6,

Jim Wallach and Pat Sullivan were 5 for 6 including Pat's top of the 9th bases loaded triple to break open the deadlock.

Dan McDonald went 4 for 5 with a sac fly and Ron Pilcher 4 for 6.

A great opening day for Lakeland Senior Softball!

 

Great game on field #2 today between team 1and 2 . We started slow ( opening day jitters) falling behind 5 to 15 before we came back and tied the game 18 to 18 but lost by one in the bottom of the last inning. Many great hits including an inside the park home run by Derrick Lafluer. Darrell Miser had one solid hit.

Jeff Bingle hit 3 home runs accounting for 8 RBIs.
